Learning to Fish in Salt Water!

Try as we may Larry and I just don't seem to have luck fishing in salt water. Our friends in the picture Carol and Pete on S/V Crazy Cat took us out on their Catamaran for a lesson. It worked we were catching fish left and right all day. We caught around 40 with about 20 being keepers.

This is me with one of my many prizes. After we finished and had a great lunch we set about cleaning our catch. Carol is not only a great fisherman but she is fast at filleting what we caught. Later that night I fried some of the catch up for us for dinner. There is nothing like fresh fish.

Larry and I took the dinghy out into Sisters Creek for a little fishing on our own and pulled in more than we bargained for. This was a Bonnet head shark. He was a lively devil especially when we attempted to remove the fish hook. We tossed him back but later found out any size shark is a keeper. No thanks!
