All Shiny and Back in the Water!

It was late afternoon on Friday when we were launched back into the water.
We headed over to Doziers Marina to spend the next few weeks on other maintenance and upgrades for our boat.

We were tired when we got there so after tying up at our slip a shower and dinner was all we wanted to do.
Saturday was a beautiful day! I had five loads of laundry to do and Larry gave the top sides of the boat a good scrubbing.
I didn't mind doing laundry as it is located by the beautiful new pool and I sat under a tree reading while the washer and dryer did all the work. When we were done with our chores we did take a dip to cool off.

Sunday consisted mostly of rain and more rain. We did however get off the boat to join our friends Chris and Lavinia for dinner. They picked us up and took us to Gloucester to a Thai restaurant. It was a delicious meal with great friends.

Monday we got more rain the only time we got off the boat was to take a courtesy car to the store and for a shower.

Tuesday and today, Wednesday looked pretty much like in the picture, beautiful, sun and clear skies. We continued our boat projects. Larry is installing our water maker and I waxed port windows and greased the seals. The ports don't sounds like a lot but it keeps us dry when it rains. Larry's job on the other hand has been intensive.

The picture is our view up the creek from behind our boat. It's so quiet here when a sound does happen we go looking for what made the noise. After being in DC amidst the noise of city sounds for six years this is a treat.

Hi Gail and Larry! I'm so excited (and a little jealous) for your new adventures. It sounds like you're getting prepared for some serious cruising and we'll be following along as you blog about it. Stay safe out there and keep it keel side down!
