Happy New Year From Boot Key Harbor!

It truly amazes me that we are working our way to one month since arriving her in the harbor. Time certainly does fly when you are having fun and busy. We arrived back to Marathon this past Sunday and have been very busy ever since. Our trip to New York to visit with our Children and their families went very quickly. Much quicker than I would have liked. You can see by the picture of Aunt Patience with Kira, Jonathan and Joseph that we had loads of fun. With our travel time we didn't have many days to visit. We didn't get to visit with friends this time but look forward to doing so in the Summer.
We survived the cold to come back to 80 plus degrees of heat and then to plummet down to 40 degrees of cold. Some records were challenged here in the Keys and so was my tolerance. When we were up North for Christmas we were at least prepared to be cold but down here we expect to be warm.
Since we arrived back I have worked every day at Castaways and won't have a break until Sunday. This old body isn't used to this but I'm holding up and having fun. New Years Eve was very busy and a late night for us both. Larry joined me at 11 PM for a late dinner and champagne toast to ring in the new year. I believe it's the first time in years that we have made it to midnight, we both had a good time.
Larry returned to driving the water taxi but the weather has given all of the drivers a challenge. We have had very high winds and due to liability for Chris the owner they have had to shut down for a full day and close early on other days. Larry is also enjoying his time on the taxi and getting to meet new people, some are only here for a few days and others are regulars. I took the taxi today for a grocery run to Publix. Some nights when Larry is working he takes me to work by taxi. It's a great little boat, it's electric so the ride is as quiet as sailing. Larry just came off duty and it's time for me to get ready for work.
