Even this little guy doesn't like the cold gloomy days we are having lately! I caught him napping on one of our neighbors boats the other day. I'm beginning to feel like I'm living back in Rochester, NY. It's one of least sunny cities in the country. Today the temperature has plummeted to 47 degrees and has been raining all day, yuck! I sure hope this isn't the total end to our warm weather. I have been preparing the boat for the cold but not wanting it this soon. I guess I'll stop winning it is what it is and I can't change it.
We did get a respite of over the Labor Day Holiday. We flew to Florida to visit Mom and Dad. We did have some rain as you can see by the golfing picture of Dad and Larry. Rain coming side ways, wind blowing, clothes flapping in the wind.
We also had several beautiful, warm, sunny days and totally enjoyed our visit.
We went out to Pine Island one evening to go to Red's for dinner. On the way home we took a drive to look out at the gulf as the sun set. I took this picture of the lone palm tree standing guard by the shore.
We took the opportunity on one of the warm sunny days to drive out to Sanibel Island. It was a hot day and Larry and I couldn't resist the urge to swim in the gulf. We have never been to Florida during Summer and were delighted how warm the water is this time of year. As you can see by the picture Mom and Dad were enjoying their walk on the beach. They used to come to Sanibel often but hadn't been there in many years. It was a treat for all of us.

Hey! I just found your blog and am really enjoying it :) I'm about to cut the ties to land and move aboard a boat as well, so your stories are very inspiring. I'd love if you could contact me with any tips you might have ... :)
Thanks,
Adam
