Waiting in Oriential, NC

We spent our morning walking around the quaint port of Oriential North Carolina, while we waited for our sail to be repaired. There was a farmers market we visited and made some purchases of homemade cookies and veggies. Then to the or provision store and to a fish market. Larry took the picture of the harbor above.
This was my purchase at the gallery on Hodges street. It is hand blown glass and looks like a real conch shell.

Before lunch we stopped by Hodges Street Sail Repair to see the progress on our sail. It was coming along nicely and we had a great chat with the owners. Our sail was almost finished and the repair looked great. They expected to deliver it to us sometime after lunch.

We went back to the boat to have lunch ourselves and wait for their call.
We were watching the weather radar and a storm was brewing. When we got the call thunder had already begun. Larry ran up quick to the parking lot to get our sail and by the time he returned the sky opened up. The picture shows the harbor. You could not see out to the river.
Every day around 3 or 4 o'clock the storms start.
Because of the storm we were unable to hoist our mainsail so we will try tomorrow before we leave for our next port.
