Georgetown, SC

Today we stayed in Georgetown. We cleaned the boat and in the afternoon walked into town. I needed to send Christmas packages and Larry is still looking for an alcohol heater. I was successful but Larry wasn't.

Georgetown is an historic old town with many old homes, museums and quaint shops. It was very pretty all dressed up for the Holidays. It was late when we walked back so we got to see the lights on. When we arrived last night we also walked into town and found only one or two places open. It is unusual to find places closed on Sunday but to find a whole town closed was amazing.

The sun was shining today and it was quite pleasant. The forecast is sun for a few days to come but the rain will return by the weekend.

Hi Monica & Tony here, We are in the UK for Christmas, like you we left the snow behind us 14" the day we left. However we have to go back to it on the 2nd Jan and then back to work. We will be getting colder as you warm up.
Great to watch your progress and see what you both are getting upto.
Maybe a H45CC when you get a little further south !!!
We wish you both a happy and wonderful nrw year, and we will miss you on the "Lake" this coming year.

Hey guys, Great blog!
When it's cold in the cabin up here in Lake Ontario, we put a clay pot upside down on the alcohol stove to heat things up. Works great.
