Our Day at Ladies Island Marina

The picture gives some idea of the tidal range here. This is not complete low tide but close to it. I find it amazing how the water can be deep then shallow all in a matter of a few hours. It's great when the docks are floating, no need to adjust dock lines to compensate for the change. The reflection on the water makes for some difficulty knowing where the water mark truly is but it you look close you can make it out.

I did do laundry and groceries today. Larry got a ride to the marine store to buy 50 feet of chain for our anchor. Now that we have that it will make anchoring more comfortable in high winds. Not that we plan to anchor in high wind but you never know what will come up during the night.

Tomorrow we plan to go into historic Beaufort and spend Christmas Eve day browsing the shops.
